Bonus schemes are one of the most common reward management practices, but there is something of a dearth of high-quality, practical information on the subject. To fill this information gap, e-reward.co.uk has undertaken an ambition research project covering a wide range of organisations on every aspect of bonus schemes to find out more about its application in today's organisations.
Our study examines the main forms they take, why they are used, what organisational benefits they can bring and trends in design. We also examined how they are developed, managed and maintained. Here in part 1, via a series of 11 case histories, we learn first-hand from the practical experience of a panel of organisations and examine the approached to the design and operation of different types of bonus scheme.
