Labour costs are the largest portion of the operating budget in most organisations – which means total rewards professionals influence bottom line results in an important way. It's essential for today’s compensation professionals to have a keen understanding of business drivers and an appreciation of the financial realities of their organisations, enabling them to deliver effective and efficient rewards programmes.
In this course, you will gain the finance and accounting skills you need to optimise your organisation’s investment in compensation and other total rewards.
The curriculum includes both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting standards and navigating the intersection between rewards and finance.
This course is designed for professionals in human resources, total rewards, compensation or global rewards who want to improve their financial acumen in order to design and deliver efficient and effective employee total rewards programmes.
We recommend taking Finance and Accounting Applications for total rewards as the seventh course toward your CCP and GRP certification.
To get the most out of this course, you will need to have a working knowledge of the WorldatWork total rewards model, base pay systems and variable pay programmes.
You should plan to spend approximately nine hours in a virtual class and 11 hours on self-guided work. Prework may be required in preparation for the first day of class.
