Yorkshire Water switches provider for total reward statements

Yorkshire Water, a part of the Kelda group, has switched its provider of total reward statements to Benefex. The company has had TRS in place for the past four years for its 2,400 employees, but felt that it was time to work with a new partner who could ensure a higher level of accuracy. It needed the new provider to act quickly to ensure that the statements were issued before the end of 2010, as it was important that their employees still received a statement for the year.

Yorkshire Water chose Benefex as it was impressed by the firm’s track record in accuracy and TRS design. What’s more, it says that Benefex was the only provider in the market who was able to meet the tight timescales.

Benefex worked with Yorkshire Water to refresh the TRS design and ensure the accuracy of the data within the documents, which were issued on time between Christmas and New Year. The statements were published offline, as it was felt this would have the most impact for the large field-based population, where regular access to the internet is more difficult.

Yorkshire Water reckons the accuracy of the new statements has been outstanding. Feedback collated from employees has been very positive on the look, feel and quality of the statements.

A final word

“We wanted to issue TRS to our colleagues before the end of the calendar year. We partnered with Benefex at the end of September 2010; therefore the timescales were tight. However, we quickly established a great relationship with Benefex, who worked effortlessly to understand our business, refresh our design and meet our needs.” - Karen Rider, Employee Relations & Reward Specialist, Yorkshire Water.
