Insurer and benefits provider Unum is boosting its own financial wellbeing strategy by launching a new financial education programme for employees in conjunction with Nudge. Nudge’s portal uses a mix of personal- and reward-related data and behavioural psychology to deliver personalised financial education.
Over 91% of Unum staff have used the platform since its launch and are able to increase the level of personalisation in the system by providing additional information to their profile, for example, on child or adult dependant or financial goals.
Tina Odell, benefits manager at Unum, said:
'We wanted to have a programme that was customisable to the different needs of each of each of our employees. Nudge supports our employees to react and make informed decisions following any change in their personal circumstances. Also, when there are tax or legislation changes that might be difficult to understand, it’s now easy to let our people know exactly how it impacts them, and what action they need to take.’
