Total reward should focus on reward elements of total deal

The phrase “total reward” has become misused, according to Michael Rose of Rewards Consulting. He reckons it should not be used to cover all aspects of employment, as it often is. Rather, it's better to use the concept in a “narrower” sense to cover the pay components of the total deal.
