HOURS AND HOLIDAYS
Survey of hours and holidays 2008
Average holiday entitlement remains steady at around 25 days for both manual and non-manual workers, finds a survey by Incomes Data Services.
After a quiet period, however, employers were more active in improving both holidays and service-related leave in the past year. In contrast, only a handful of employers cut or increased hours. The average standard working week remains unchanged at just over 37 hours.
