Starbucks benefit mix helps dampen down turnover
The rich benefit blend offered by coffee empire Starbucks helps keep turnover low and employee satisfaction high, according to a report in a recent edition of US human resources magazine Workforce.
As a result of a judicious mix of health-care benefits, employee assistance programmes, stock options and in-store training, Starbucks can claim an 82% job-satisfaction rate amongst its US workforce -- which compares with a figure of 74% among Hewitt's other "Best Place to Work" employers.
The October issue of Workforce magazine gives you a flavour of how Starbucks manages to keep the spirit flowing.
