Salary survey of reward professionals 2006/07
There’s a real paucity of good quality reward candidates which is fuelling consistently higher salaries than in other areas of HR. This is the verdict of a survey by Frazer Jones Reward, a recruitment business focussing exclusively on reward professionals.

Executive compensation remains the “most sought-after and poorly resourced specialism”, says Frazer Jones, so salaries are at a “particularly high premium”.
Key survey findings
Reward analyst - average base salaries range from £26,000 in the public sector to £43,680 in financial services.
Reward consultant - average base salaries range from £42,500 in retail/manufacturing to £47,500 in financial services.
Reward manager - average base salaries range from £33,500 in the public sector to £56,666 in financial services.
Senior reward manager - average base salaries range from £45,000 in the public sector to £75,000 in engineering/logistics.
Head of reward - average base salaries range from £70,500 in retail/manufacturing to £115,000 in engineering/logistics.

Survey details: The survey has been produced using data collected from responses to a questionnaire, between September and October 2006 and from recruitment assignments handled by Frazer Jones Reward over the 12 months to October 2006.
