New survey of reward salaries
Total remuneration packages for heads of reward in financial services now average over £173,000, according to the latest annual survey of reward salaries by Frazer Jones.
The survey reckons that executive remuneration remains the “most sought-after and difficult source skill-set that a reward professional can possess”.

Key survey findings
The range of average base salaries is as follows:
Reward analyst - from £26,700 in retail/manufacturing to £35,938 in financial services.
Reward consultant - from £34,000 in public sector to £46,000 in engineering/logistics.
Reward manager - from £38,270 in the public sector to £56,750 in financial services.
Senior reward manager - from £62,000 in engineering/logistics to £78,333 in financial services.
Head of reward - from £73,100 in IT/telecoms to £116,667 in engineering/logistics.

Survey details: The survey has been produced using data collected from responses to a questionnaire, between September and October 2007 and from recruitment assignments handled by Frazer Jones Reward over the 12 months to October 2007.
