A new reward and recognition platform, AvinityAlive, has been launched by Avinity in response to shifts in what employees seek from work and the ‘underperformance of traditional top-down systems’. AvinityAlive gives employees the chance to choose how they want to earn rewards, who they want to recognise and to build their own social community at work.
According to the provider, surveys show that only three out of ten employees are deeply engaged and only 9% of employers rate their latest engagement programme as successful.
‘Based on research proving that strong company values and employee happiness are the keys to engagement, AvinityAlive connects values with the personal choice, pleasure and sense of purpose known to make humans happy.’
When employees get involved in the challenges they find most meaningful and enjoyable, they appreciate more the company’s values and gain a sense of purpose through bringing them to life, the company argues.
The platform includes a social wall where employees can share their challenge updates, photos and videos, and post their recognition stories and posts. For HR, the platform provides data, the ability to monitor activity levels, gain insight into the popularity of different challenges and, over time, to gauge the impact of this activity on employee turnover and absence.
Rupert Poulson, founder of Avinity, said:
‘We know that the platform inspires engagement from day one, that employees really like how it gives them the chance to try new things, have different experiences and inject fun and fulfilment into their lives at work and beyond.’
