Met chief calls for police bonuses to be scrapped
All police bonuses should be scrapped to prove that officers are motivated by their duty to serve the public, Sir Paul Stephenson, Britain’s most senior policeman, has told The Daily Telegraph.
“Sir Paul said the bonus culture in the service should be overhauled because it could warp policing priorities, failed to motivate officers and damaged public confidence, the report says.
