Lend Lease builds on existing benefits programme with new provider
Lend Lease, a leading provider of fully integrated property solutions, has refurbished its benefits programme for 2,000 employees across the UK following the appointment of a new benefits provider.
The company’s existing Preference benefits scheme had been up and running for five years and the contract with another benefits provider was up for renewal in January 2010. Lend Lease’s decided to take the opportunity to appoint and switch to a new provider, Vebnet. The company felt there was room for improvement when it came to employee engagement and wanted to:
increase the number of employees that logged on to review or change their benefits each year
optimise the performance of the Preference helpdesk.
make the scheme’s web site more engaging and user friendly.

Refurbishing the benefits programme
With Vebnet helping to steer the implementation process, Lend Lease was able to meet its tight deadline – and ready to switch over to its new benefits provider on 1 February 2010.
The Preferences benefits programme remains largely unchanged. It combines core benefits – private health insurance, car allowance and pensions scheme – with voluntary benefits such as travel insurance, critical illness cover and dental health insurance.
The programme’s look and feel has been changed by re-branding and improving the reward and benefits portal.
A communication campaign was designed for the relaunch of the scheme to help people realise that the benefits scheme is “now better, faster and smarter”.
The transition to Vebnet’s benefits portal has given Lend Lease the flexibility to make some much-needed adjustments to the reward programme and enrolment windows.
