IDS unveils new internet pay service

Incomes Data Services has launched a new online pay benchmarking service. The web site contains information on pay and conditions for more than 200 shop floor and office jobs, with examples drawn from 300 of the UK’ s leading employers in the private and public sectors.

IDSPayBenchmark.co.uk has three main sections:

• Jobs and pay rates: The databank provides information on actual pay rates and conditions — hours, holidays, shift premia and other extras such as location allowances — in named organisations.
  

• Pay climate briefing: Based on extensive pay monitoring by IDS researchers, a concise summary of all the latest settlement trends, plus future prospects for the labour market.
  
• Earnings checker: Drawing on official sources, information on average earnings for some 300 occupations, together with regional variations.
