The focus of HR technology in recent years has been on automating and integrating HR practices, for example, online payroll systems with compensation management. However, this is just ‘business as usual’ now, according to Josh Bersin, principal and founder of Bersin by Deloitte.
In a recent report, Bersin argues that HR practitioners will get little credit for simply automating HR, despite the fact that 45% of companies are still focused on this basic objective, and that the big focus should be on using software to improve productivity.
Bersin says:
‘Can we build HR software that really improves productivity and helps teams work better together? That’s the next challenge.’
