General Dental Council seeks Independent Committee Member – Remuneration Committee
The General Dental Council regulates dentists and dental care professionals. Its Remuneration Committee is responsible for determining executive pay, fees for its independent members and for overseeing pay policy.
The GDC is seeking to appoint an independent member to provide expert advice and guidance to the Committee.
The appointee will have substantial experience of reward management at a senior level, preferably in the public or not-for-profit sectors, including knowledge of pay system development and equalities impacts. Previous remuneration committee experience and a collaborative working style is essential.
GDC expects that the appointment will be for 4-6 days per year in the first year, thereafter for 2-4 days per year.
