Flex proves popular at Ceridian
Ceridian Centrefile has successfully launched a new flexible benefits scheme, with 80% of its 840-strong UK workforce enrolling to take advantage of the options available.
The company reckons that this high take-up -- typically, UK companies expect a 40% take-up -- is due to three factors:
Employee research
Ceridian's annual employee survey had indicated employees' desire for a more flexible rewards structure. To ensure the relevance of the benefits options, all employees were invited to complete an online survey of their preferences for the range and scope of possible benefits.
What's on the menu?
FlexAbility is the name of Ceridian's flexible benefits scheme. It allows employees to choose to increase or reduce their core benefits: life assurance, permanent health insurance, personal accident insurance, holiday entitlement and pension (including the opportunity to use a salary sacrifice arrangement).
Employees also have the option to purchase additional benefits: private medical insurance, critical illness cover, dental insurance, health screening, retail vouchers, childcare vouchers and voluntary benefits including travel insurance, pet insurance, spa days and discounted online shopping.
