EU lawmakers determined to push ahead with cap on banker bonuses: Bloomberg
European Union lawmakers have warned that they will reject any deal on a new bank capital law without a cap on banker bonuses that exceed fixed pay, ahead of a scheduled meeting with EU officials later this week, Bloomberg reports today.
The Parliament has rejected proposals from governments that would have allowed variable pay awards of as much as five times a banker’s basic salary.
