Concern over bias in civil service merit pay

Fresh evidence of pay discrimination has emerged in the operation of performance-related pay system in a government department, according to Personnel Today magazine.

The report claims that disabled people, ethnic minorities and women received lower appraisal results for the second year in a row at the Department of Environment Transport and the Regions.
